Dear Friend,
You do not really know me –yet. But I know you. I have met you over the years in many forms and guises, and in many places, and I know you so well because I have struggled with these issues also.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
- Religious services no longer feed you
- You feel like a hypocrite attending, since what you’ve been taught doesn’t resonate or feel relevant any more
- You feel “out of tune” with those close to, or around you
No one seems to understand what you’re searching for, including yourself
- You wonder if you’re alone in experiencing these questions and doubts
- You’re afraid these kinds of questions are the sure-fire highway to hell
- You love to question whatever you hear, read, or observe, and seek to find the underlying truth
Are there even any answers to these questions?
- What if you don’t have any belief system to start with, but sense there’s something more out there
- Is there really a God? The rational, logical mind stumbles on the concept, but…
- You’ve dabbled with new age, Eastern thought, atheism, yoga, whatever…
• Sometimes the wondering is so “out there” and troublesome that you pack it all away in the far recesses of your mind so you don’t have to deal with any of it-
-
And at the same time-
• There’s a hunger for something more- which at the moment is ill-defined
- • A desire grows to feel more deeply about things
- • Something deep inside is pushing to be addressed and expressed
- • You want to experience wholeness- of body, mind, and spirit
• You have flashes of insight, which sometimes scares you, but something also pushes you to seek more
You’re increasingly aware of the close connections between people and the rest of creation
Is there some community where I can search and grow, and be accepted for wherever I am in my spiritual journey?
